A Few of My Favorite Things

In an effort to be more thankful of what I already have and to be "content", I thought I would share a few of the things in my life that bring a smile to my face.....aside from my babies and hubby;) Feel free to share your favorites too!

I have this cross-stitch hanging right next to "my side" of the bed, it's still my favorite piece that my friend, Jan made. My house is full of her beautiful art...every time I see them, I think of her and all the time, love, and effort she put into each one. Thank you Jan!

I also have this print of the "Last Supper" hanging in the dining room...it's always a great reminder of Who to thank before we dig in.

My bike has been my companion as our family has been hitting the roads again with the great weather. It's perfect for family rides because it has pedal brakes, no gears and it doesn't go too fast for the kids to keep up...and the best feature is the big seat for my big.....

I love this bench, it was a clearance deal after the summer season last year and it fits perfectly on our porch....our cats love to snuggle here also....just as long as they don't poop on it again..grrr.

Lastly, I love the fresh smell of baking bread wafting through the house, it couldn't be any easier than using a bread machine. I don't bake bread super often, just about every other week or so...but when I do....aaahhhhh. My Mom let me have it since she wasn't using it much anymore. Thanks Mom!!

I wonder sometimes if I should get a bread machine.

  2. Great post! I may have to do a fave things post as well. But for the record, I really like our last supper as well, it's above our fireplace and it is our icon. I am also very fond of our living room curtains and the pictures of our family I have around our home.

    Happy Tuesday, Debi!

  3. We have that same Last Supper print in our formal dining room! My grandma gave it to us as a housewarming gift when we moved. So pretty :) Great idea for a post Debi!

  4. I really love the Last Supper picture. I'd like one in our kitchen but don't really know where I'd put it.
Yay for bike rides! I've been thinking of chaning out for a bigger seat for my bigger 'seat' also.
I go on bread-making binges and then won't see my breadmaker for months before another binge. Whenever I bring it back out I wonder why I stopped!
That is a nice bench. Every year I say I'm going to find a bench or rocking chairs for our front porch but then talk myself out of it. Maybe I'll find some for a good deal this year.
