  1. This just shocked me. I have had very strong feelings against Komen for quite some time now. This does give me a little more respect for them, although I can still think of about a million other charities I would rather support before them, for numerous reasons. One being, DO remember that they also support Embryonic Stem Cell Research.

  3. Thank you for that list, Monica. Yes, it is hopeful to me and I hope that they will continue their corrective behavior in regards to embryonic stem cell research also. And yet, it surprises me that still so many organizations support embryonic stem cell research when it has been shown to be ineffective in contrast to adult stem cell research. Thanks for the reminder!!!

  4. I know it.

The weird thing is, they were on that list this morning, because I referenced it before I sent it to you. But now they are not on their. Totally weird.

Here is another article though about their support of ESCR

  5. Okay, so after more digging, apparently Komen has clarified their position on ESCR and they do not support/fund.

Which is good. But I still don't like them.

  6. It makes sense that they should also discontinue their connections with that. I'm very glad to hear it, and maybe I am naive, but people as well as organizations can have conversions. I hope and pray it's a permanent one.

Thanks for your info, Monica, you are a treasure!
