The Abortion-Vaccine-Autism Link and What to Do

Shouldn’t we determine whether injecting the DNA from aborted babies into our children is safe, oh yeah, and moral too?
What’s a Catholic to do?
Let’s not mince words here. We’ve got a problem. Last fall a new study published in the American Academy of Pediatrics’ journal Pediatrics found a parent-reported autism prevalence rate of one in every 91 American children, including one in 58 boys. For years, groups like Autism Speaks and public figures like Jenny McCarthy and John Travolta have been trying to find out what is causing this dramatic rise in the number of reported cases of autism. For a time, vaccines were thought to be the culprit because of the thimerosal (a mercury preservative) contained in some vaccines. Now something even more sinister may be the deadly link: the DNA from voluntarily aborted babies that is used as a base ingredient in many childhood vaccines. New research is underway now after the latest findings reinforced the fact that the use of these tainted vaccines correlate perfectly with the spike in autism rates around the world.
This spring Dr. Theresa Deisher, president of the Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute (SCPI), as well as development director for Ave Maria Biotechnology Company received a half-million dollar grant to study the link between residual DNA from voluntarily aborted babies in childhood vaccines and autism. This comes on the heels of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcing that they had analyzed a subset of worldwide autism disorder incidence data and indentified 1988 as a critical “changepoint” in the rate of rise of autism.
According to Dr. Deisher the only environmental event correlating with this statistical autism trend and the “changepoint” the EPA identified was the introduction of vaccines tainted with the tissues from voluntarily aborted babies. And there is even more alarming news when you look at other “changepoints” both in the USA and the rest of the world:
We see a change point in 1988 and then we see another change point in 1995 and what both years are associated with is not mercury in the vaccines, it is not relaxed diagnosis (of autism), it is not microwaves, it is not cell phones, it is not sunscreen… it is not any of these sociological or environmental factors because we have looked at them all.
So what is it?
The one event we can find over decades and across continents that is associated with ALL these “changepoints” is the introduction to these countries of aborted fetal cells in produced vaccines.
One of the “changepoints” correlates in the United States with 1995, the same year the chicken pox vaccine tainted with aborted babies was introduced. “And the autism rise from that year forward is dramatic after that year,” said Deisher, who went on:
Further, vaccinating your children against chicken pox may not even be necessary.
Chicken pox vaccine is a vaccine purely for convenience. We have mostly two-parent income families and for them chicken pox is very inconvenient. Before the tainted-vaccine was available, one million children got chicken pox every year in this country. And according to the Centers for Disease Control 135 children died. Compare this to 1 in 91 who will develop autism.
Fair Labeling
A lot of parents would like to know if the vaccines they are injecting into their child were produced using the tissues from voluntarily aborted babies. Even if they are not worried about inflicting autism on their child, many Catholic parents believe it is morally reprehensible and against Church teachings. Unfortunately, it is not easy to determine which vaccines are abortion-free.
No law requires companies to tell parents which vaccines contain the DNA from aborted babies. “That’s correct,” said Deisher:
“There is nothing requiring disclosure. On the package insert, which most consumers don’t read, some will state ‘manufactured using human diploid cells’ which are cell lines from an aborted baby. But sometimes that information is coded and not readily understandable to the average consumer.
Sadly, in the United States for vaccines like chicken pox, MMR and others there are no alternatives available that are not tainted with the DNA from voluntarily aborted babies. There is a list of the tainted vaccines and some of the alternatives that are available at the Children of God for Life website.

Catholic Teachings
Catholic parents who want to take the moral high ground and not vaccinate their children with tainted vaccines certainly have the right to do so. The Pontifical Academy for Life (PLA) in 2005 told Catholics that they have “a grave responsibility to use alternative vaccines and to make a conscientious objection with regard to those which have moral problems.”
But how often do you hear of a Catholic telling their physician they do not intend to vaccinate their children because of the moral problems of vaccines produced with the tissue from voluntarily aborted babies?
The PLA further stated that just because these vaccines are lawful to use does not let a Catholic off the hook either. In fact, we are either passively or actively supporting the original evil act of abortion when we knowingly choose to use these tainted vaccines and do not express our outrage each time:
The lawfulness of the use of these vaccines should not be misinterpreted as a declaration of the lawfulness of their production, marketing and use, but is to be understood as being a passive material cooperation (emphasis added) and, in its mildest and remotest sense, also active material cooperation , morally justified as an “extrema ratio” due to the necessity to provide for the good of one’s children and of the people who come in contact with the children — especially pregnant women. Such cooperation occurs in a context of moral coercion of the conscience of parents, who are forced to choose to act against their conscience or otherwise, to put the health of their children and of the population as a whole at risk. This is an unjust alternative choice, which must be eliminated as soon as possible.
Maybe if more Catholics did express their outrage for having to use vaccines made from the DNA of innocent babies voluntarily aborted by their mothers, then manufacturers would create new vaccines and eliminate this “unjust alternative choice.”
Maybe if more Catholics would refuse vaccination because they do not want to passively or actively support the killing of innocent babies in the womb then we could stop the rise in autism rates.
Ultimately the ends can never justify the means and in this case using the DNA from voluntarily aborted babies to save us from disease needs to end.

Faith Shines

My friend, Kelly makes the prettiest shirts/sweatshirts with faith based images. I have a black neckline tee and every time I wear it, I get lots of compliments. The pics on the website don't do them justice, they are gorgeous!! It's a great way to share your faith without saying a word. As a side note, the neckline tees are back in stock now, the website says they are out.

Love in a Bee Sting?

In the 13 years I have been a Mom, none of my kids had ever been stung by anything...until today. While walking through a field near a playground, a bee flew into Benny's shoe and stung him on the bottom of his toe. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him, he instantly started screaming and couldn't walk, I thought maybe he had a sticker stuck on his foot or something. I looked at his foot and saw the stinger still stuck in him. I did the wrong thing and pulled it out instead of scraping it off(which prevents any venom still left from being excreted). Poor thing! I felt so bad for him, it would have been better if it happened to me. I scooped him up and we rushed him home, cleaned his wound with soap and water, put ice on it to reduce the swelling, made a baking soda paste and applied it, gave him Tylenol to help the pain, and finally blessed him with Holy Water(should have done this first!) Whew! Anyway, what does LOVE have to do with it all?? Well this has been a particularly bad week, the kids have been loud, fighting, loud, yelling, loud, running through the house, loud, teasing, and did I mention LOUD?? Well as Benny laid on the sofa...healing, I noticed a gathering around him. All the kids were trying to make him feel better, telling him stories about their past injuries, explaining the consequences to the bee, showing him pictures, and just loving him. For the first time this week, I saw genuine care and concern for the hardest people to love....our immediate family!

World's Best Ice Cream!

My discovery all began with two of my favorite things...a sale and a coupon. Dillons currently has Turkey Hill ice cream on sale for $1.99(Awesome price!) I also had a $1 off coupon, so I bought Nutty Neopolitan for a whopping .99! Wahoo!! But the best part is the taste. I love Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla, but it is sooo expensive, well this was way better, it tasted just like homemade...maybe even a little better. It DOESN'T have strawberry ice cream in it, instead it has Vanilla Bean, Chocolate and Buttered Almond....so it's my 3 favorite ice creams in one!!
If you are looking for a sweet treat, you've gotta give it a try...tell me what you think! Don and I finished it off ourselves in 2 days!

Seas VBS...Awesome!

Hannah and Eli and for a short time, Benny have been loving SEAS' Vacation Bible School this week. I am impressed with how much they remember about the saints. It seems like a well organized and excellently executed program. Eli's favorite lesson was using a glass, penny, paper towel and water how our souls(penny) use grace(water) to get to Heaven(the glass) and how sin(paper towel) can be dissolved by grace and hope(water). Today they learned about St. Nicholas and even got to experience the beloved leaving out the shoe tradition complete with a treat. It's great to see a Catholic VBS....the first I've seen.

Coupon Clutch

I fell in love with a coupon clutch to organize coupons (www.couponclutch.com) Well as cute as they are, it would be $50 just to organize my coupons!! That is NOT in the budget right now. So, I decided to try to make my own. I went to Office Max and bought a cute binder($4.95),baseball sleeve inserts(10 for $3.99) and a few compartment pouches($1.09)to keep scissors, pens, calculator, large coupons and gift cards, and a lovely recycle tote to carry it.(80 cents!!!) I'm sure if I would have shopped around I could have done it much cheaper, but when I get a wild hair...I go for it. Sometimes not shopping around is worth the difference in cost!!

Snacks for Picky Eaters

My kids are the poster children for picky eaters, I found this list of healthy snacks for picky eaters from Tawra Kellam's "Living on a Dime" website. I just noticed cookies in the list, but if you make them at home and use whole wheat flour, wheatgerm, oatmeal or applesauce they actually can be healthy. Since summer started, all I hear all day long is "I'm hungry Mom!"

I thought this was a pretty good list.

Snack Ideas:
Have a snack sitting at the kitchen table for the kids when they come home from school. This way they won’t be grouchy in the afternoon from being hungry. This will also prevent them from digging though the kitchen cabinets looking for something themselves and messing up your neat, well-organized pantry. It is also the perfect time for you to sit and visit with them about their day at school.
To discourage bad snack habits, don’t buy unhealthy snacks or keep them in the house.
Present your snacks with a plate, place mat, napkin and maybe a flower from the garden. This way your snacks always look inviting.
Have jars sitting on the counter with sunflower seeds, raisins, granola, prunes or peanuts for the children. If they see healthy snacks they’re more likely to want them.
Try these snacks on your kids:
Fresh fruit*Hard-boiled eggs*Apples, cut into quarters, with core removed*Popcorn balls*Popcorn*Bagels*Muffins*Dried apples or bananas*Breadsticks*Oranges, peeled and quartered*Pumpkin bread*Banana bread*Zucchini bread*Bananas*Crackers and cheese*Frozen grapes*Veggies with ranch dressing*Celery sticks, spread with peanut butter*Cherry tomatoes*Cheese*
Strawberry leather*Cookies*Puddings*Yogurt Popsicles*Homemade granola bars*Beef jerky*Pretzels*Tortillas with cream cheese*Peanut butter snacks*Yogurt with fruit or wheat germ added*Milk*Chocolate milk*Cocoa*Creamy Orange Shake*Milk shake*Fruit shakes*Apples, quartered and cored with 1 tsp. peanut butter on each quarter*Bananas sliced in half and spread with peanut butter*Bread or toast cut into quarters and spread with jelly, jam, peanut butter, spiced honey or honey butter*Crackers spread with peanut butter and jelly or jam*Place some peanut butter and honey on a pancake and roll up for a snack. This is great for leftover pancakes.

Study Presented on Autism and Vaccines Using Cells From Babies From Abortion

Interesting read.....

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A controversial study into the possible link between the use of cells form babies victimized by abortions in vaccines and an increase in autism rates was presented late last month to the International Meeting for Autism Research in Philadelphia.
Dr. Theresa Deisher, the founder and lead scientist of the Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute (SCPI), which conducted the study, presented the paper touching on the apparent link found in childhood immunizations with Autism and Austim Spectrum Disorder.
The study, which Deisher said was "met with both shock and gratitude," focused on "improper integration of the residual DNA as a possible contributor to autism, particularly in genetically susceptible infants."
"It is known from gene therapy studies that injected naked DNA can be transported to the brain, that improperly integrated therapeutic DNA has caused cancer in young children, and that shorter DNA fragments have a higher probability of entering the nucleus," Deisher said.
Deisher, along with physicist Marissa LaMadrid, PhD, authored the paper investigating whether improper insertion of DNA into the vaccine recipient cells can cause autism.
"Changepoint analysis of autism disorder demonstrates a temporal correlation with events associated with human DNA residuals in vaccines. The levels of residual DNA are well over FDA-recommended limits", stated Dr. Deisher.
While research has been conducted in the past on a possible link between thimerosal and autism, no one has ever looked at the contaminating DNA, something requested for years by Children of God for Life, a pro-life watchdog focused on the use of aborted fetal material in vaccines, medicines and other consumer products.
"Until the advent of AVM Biotechnology and their non-profit arm SCPI we had little hope that anyone would invest the time and money to do this study", stated Children of God for Life's founder, Debi Vinnedge.
A separate study published by the Environmental Protection Agency in February in the publication Environmental Science & Technology, confirms 1988 as a “change point” in the rise of Autism Disorder rate.
"Although the debate about the nature of increasing autism continues, the potential for this increase to be real and involve exogenous environmental stressors exists," the study says.
The 1988 date is significant because SCPI indicates that's when the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices added a second dose of the MMR vaccine, containing fetal cells from aborted babies, to its recommendations.
The study found two other change point dates: 1981, two years after MMRII was approved in the United States with fetal cells, and 1995, when SCPI says the chickenpox vaccine using aborted cells was approved.
Two pro-life advocates seized on that study and said it shows a correlation between the use of cells from babies in abortions in vaccines and an increase in autism rates.
But the study's author, Mike McDonald, and others, questioned that claim.
McDonald responded to an email from the Opposing Views web site, and said the claims "incorrectly represent, and far overreach, our study findings."
And Rev. Nicanor Pier Giorgio Austriaco, an Assistant Professor of Biology at Providence College, told LifeNews.com the study "suggests a link between exogenous environmental stressors and autism" but "does not say that this stressor was the vaccine."

Sweet Spots

I asked the kids' what their favorite spot was at our new house. All the kids except Jonah(who remains uncommitted on a favorite)((I hope this isn't some strange foreshadowing of the future!!)) happily complied.

Noah likes the sofa in the family room...a great place to read!

Eli likes the sofa in the living room(crazy after-bath hair)
Charlie's secret trashy hideaway.
Hannah's very own princess room. Benny loves the window seat, a soft retreat. Nellie loves to catch the drips from the hose.

Callie enjoys the cool concrete on the front porch.

Leaving SEAS...Invoking St. Joseph....Bittersweet

We participated in our "last Mass" this past Sunday and even though we will have some involvement still in the parish, it was still very sad . We were blessed to have 3 children baptized and 3 children receive their 1st Holy Communion at SEAS over the past 9 years, and those are memories that we will always hold dear. SEAS will always have a special place in our hearts. I have learned so much and have been so inspired by the wonderful friends we have made and will hopefully forever keep. Goodbye St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, we will indeed miss you and all the beautiful people that we consider family! It is bittersweet because we will be rejoining our previous parish, St. Patrick's. I received almost all my sacraments there... 1st Reconciliation,1st Communion, Confirmation, and Matrimony. (Baptized in Michigan) 3 of our children were baptized there as well. So we are looking forward to coming home.....again. It's such a strange mixture of emotions...(sniff, sniff)

As of tonight, we officially signed with a Realtor to sell our home. We also have heard from many people that burying St. Joseph helped to sell their homes, so we buried St. Joseph tonight and prayed for his intercession in selling our home. St. Joseph, pray for us!!
